First News

It is a brilliant paper and my foster child really enjoys dipping in and reading it over the week. It is really helping his general knowledge and his reading. The crossword is the perfect level for him, some he knows and others a little challenging. A great newspaper with such a variety of topics covered to the right amount of detail.

What a great newspaper! Great selection of news, well written, and I read it myself too, because it's much more upbeat than the adult ones!!

First news has been brilliant for my daughter’s reading, expanding her knowledge and varying her vocabulary. Great because she also enjoys to read it and learn more!

Love seeing my daughter sprawled across the sofa with her head propped up on a cushion whilst reading first news each week. Having enjoyed it at school she wanted her own copy. She reads it first, passes it on to her brother and then it finally lands in my book box in my classroom. This newspaper is the perfect way to introduce children to the news in a fun, factual way that they enjoy reading. Thank you!

First News has been an amazing resource for the kids. Educational and relevant news in short snippets to keep the kids engaged and educated on world topics. I signed up over the Summer months and the children have enjoyed it so much that i have extended the subscription.

The paper is easy to navigate with good eyecatching headlines to pick up on. Very up to date and topics to interest young people

We love it. We all enjoy the puzzles. My children listen, read and watch content they would otherwise not.

We have been First News Subscribers for almost two years. We were recommended FN by friends and also the school. My child really enjoys the sudoku, crosswords and word games. She loves reading anything animal related. She takes joy reading the news articles and entering competitions. In the last year she wrote two book reviews, a full article on NASA with a video, and entered her own art piece. First news gives her that down time, news of the world in language thats easy to understand and time away from a screen. Panna Shah

First news is very informative and is suitable for children aged 9 and upwards. It would be nice to see more activities. Maybe a joke. Pet section etc.

Brilliant piece for our youngsters to understand important issues and have fun with puzzles and brain stretching games.

My son loves receiving this news paper. It’s feels more grown up than a magazine. We love to read through it together and we really enjoy the array of topics and engaging in the puzzles.

My son says it is interesting because you get to know what’s going on in the world and then you can know about things that are important or helpful. Challenging spot the difference and other games keep him busy!

We love First News. It's so easy to read but really makes the news interesting and fun for kids. It's also packed with puzzles, quizzes etc. Great source for new vocabulary.
